The Island of Bali is the perfect place for family holidays. With beautiful scenic surroundings, fantastic beach locations and so much to see and do both day and night, there really is something for everyone in Bali.
Whether you have 1 child of 3 years or children aged 5 or 25 there really is no problem in finding something to keep them interested or simply someone to take care of them. Baby sitters are supplied in most of the Hotels, and the Balinese people simply love children.
Of course when planning a trip to Bali a family must decide where you want to stay. Your Bali holiday is going to be centered on your choice in Hotel and with over 3000 properties on the Island ranging from 5 Star Luxury Hotels and Resorts, to 2 and 3 Star budget accommodations such as Home Stays and Bungalows, there really is somewhere to stay for everyone.
Most important aspects to look at when choosing a Hotel would be:
1. What is the Location of the Hotel you are looking for? Is it a Beach and Full on entertainment location you require, or something quiet, tranquil and away from the hustle and bustle of the islands tourism?
2. One you have decided on the location, you then need to take a think about what features and facilities your accommodation should have. Do you need a Hotel with All Inclusive packages? Are you looking for simple Bed and Breakfast? Do you need a Children’s play area or swimming pool for the kids? Be careful and some hotels may not be suitable for children and more suited to stag and hen party groups. Do you require wireless internet access in your room, or is a simple internet café in the lobby enough for you.
3. If you budget is a little tight, or you are looking for luxury, you need to identify a Hotel / Resort in Bali that matches your budget. Also does the hotel you are looking for have family special offers, or discounts for children.
4. Once you have chosen your Hotel you need to look at the transfer to and from the Hotel and Airport. Quite often if traveling with a family a private transfer or Hotel Transfer is more convenient and less stress free, so make sure when you are booking your Hotel that you are able to organize a hassle free transfer.
5. If you are looking for something a little more private and perhaps more homely, Bali now has many private luxury villa to offer. Features of these are 1, 2, and 3 to 6 bedrooms, beautiful gardens, large swimming pools, TV, Internet, Butler and Maid Service. Again and ideal options if you are looking for more of a family home environment.
6. Depending on your departure flight time, it would be also an idea to arrange/ book a late check out. Having to get dress and ready before lunchtime for a midnight flight can often prove a nightmare if you have children, and uncomfortable for the much dreaded 10+ hour flight home.
With so much to see and do in Bali, and of course with time of the essence when only here for 1 or 2 weeks, making sure you have the perfect hotel for your needs, simply gets your holiday of to a great start.
